Teaser Tuesday: Lost Voices

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading.

Here's how it works:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two "teaser" sentences from that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!  You don't want to ruin the story for others!
  • Share the title and the author so that other TT participants cant add the book to the TBR lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:  Luce couldn't justify the icy, unsettled feeling in her chest; of course what the other mermaids had told her was true.  It was Catarina, after all, who'd swum to the depth where Luce's own breath had started to give out on her first night in the sea, Catarina who had saved her life. ~ pg. 95, Lost Voices by Sarah Porter.

This is the second ARC I've received from Netgalley.  I've seen some positive things about it on other bloggers pages, so I'm hoping this will be a good one to read.  :)

  11. I'm waiting for this one to come out in book form since I can't read e-books. I can't wait for it. I love mermaid books. I don't know if it's still available. But L.K. Madigan's The Mermaid's Mirror was a great book. It's been published already and unfortunately, she died of cancer earlier this year. It was my first Mermaid Book. I learned all the lore from it.

  12. Heather,

I don't have a way of reading ebooks mobile-wise, but when you register with NetGalley you are able to down load the e-reader for the ARC's. Its a free download. They have a Kindle download version for Mac and PC now, and its free too! I don't use mine much since I don't want to pay for books unless I have my own copy to keep.

I remember your post on Madigan. That was a sad day. I'll have to get myself a copy when I get around to it. Gotta love Mermaid Lore. :)
